The Client & Challenge
Our client, a global consulting firm, developed a collection of accelerators designed to capture, calculate, and model sustainability metrics, such as carbon emissions from electricity, air travel, etc. These accelerators can be integrated into any organization’s data infrastructure, enabling decision-makers to monitor emissions against set targets.
The platform’s consumption mechanism depended heavily on viewers depth of knowledge of ESG domain and technical reports, potentially limiting its usage. They required our innovative AI solutions to simultaneously educate, inform, and execute actions at scale within large organizations.
The Solution
We deployed an end-to-end LLM solution that seamlessly integrates with a front-end chatbot and backend databases containing structured (e.g. electricity consumption) and unstructured datasets (e.g. company’s annual performance reports in PDF format). Additionally, we implemented conversation-context-awareness and historical-context-retention to maximize the system’s potential and user experience.
This enhancement provides intelligent and sophisticated Natural Language Q&A functionality to end users using innovative Generative AI technologies.
The data platform was also used as a foundation to develop business intelligence reports. Over 300 users use the reporting platform for day-to-day operations as well as uncovering hidden insights on the fly.
The Outcome
All employees & functions, regardless of their understanding of ESG, are empowered to meet carbon emission goals by providing easily understandable access to sustainability targets, performance metrics, tracking tools, and optimization strategies.
