Our client is at the forefront of AI-based automotive safety solutions and has developed a mobile app that transforms smartphones into intelligent dashcams. This app records trips and identifies potential road risks such as drowsiness, distractions, and collision threats—all in real-time.
Their goal was to make cutting-edge safety technology accessible to all drivers, regardless of vehicle type or age. They needed a partner to accelerate AI feature development in their cloud and edge platforms, improve real-time detection in dashcams, optimize mobile performance, and integrate visual insights with telematics data while ensuring cost efficiency.

Our solutions enabled our client to significantly reduce operating costs by implementing an auto-scaling infrastructure that optimized cloud resource usage. The Solution

We developed a highly efficient deep learning model capable of real-time detection (approximately 0.01 seconds) of more than 10 objects, enabling instant recognition of road risks. Additionally, we created synthetic training data to ensure the model’s robustness and scalability. The model was further optimized for edge devices, significantly reducing battery consumption and overheating while maintaining target inference times.
To generate comprehensive driver behavior profiles and capture patterns such as lane changes, hard braking, tailgating, and near misses, we integrated visual insights with vehicle telematics data. The app also has a driver risk scoring system, which is created by synthesizing data from over nine AI models, covering critical indicators like drowsiness detection, red light violations, and speed limit compliance.
